Deer Creek Madness!!!

Yesterday I went with my sister, Carly, almost brother-in-law, Logan and the rest of my singles ward to Deer Creek for a day of frolicking in the lake. We were thinking the day was going to be kinda short and only spend about 3 hours out, but it ended up becoming an entire day event and we ended up pulling the boat out around 9. Six amazing hours in the beautiful Provo Canyon. I was loving it. I wakeboarded and did better than I've done in forever, so I was happy and we also got some awesome pictures of friends giving wakboarding a try. I loved when I got to drive Car and Log together behind the boat. They even kissed while they were riding together! I was lovin it! All in all, a great day. I'm sore and exhausted, but happy making memories!!!

I Love to See the Temple

I love the Temple! I have a goal to do a session at every one in Utah by the end of the year. I got to go to the Provo Temple today with my cousin, Dennis, who's leaving on a mission in September. It was so good to see my family together and realize that we get to be together forever because of the amazing blessings given to us by our Heavenly Father through Temple ordinances. I'm so grateful for the peace, the spirit and the blessings of the Temple in my life. It is truly the House of God.

The Kendall

I went shopping today for the first time in forever and actually had some success! I hit up Promenade Mall in search for a gift to give the Kehoes, which I did find eventually after stopping in the WORST store for my wallet, The Buckle. After dropping some serious dinero, I swung by the GAP, just because it was there. I don't typically shop at the Gap due to the fact that I'm kind of short waisted and the crotch of every pair of pants in that store hits me around the knees, but they have some cute tops, so in I went. While taking a gander at their sale rack, I turned around and saw the cutest pair of straight-leg jeans. I went to try them on, keeping expectations low, and low and behold...THEY FIT PERFECT! No crotch-knee problem, no hitting my long legs somewhere around the flood zone, and my butt looked GREAT! So even though I had spent my wad at the Buckle, I decided this was a pair of jeans I couldn't pass up. (AND they were half-off. BOMB!) Taking my newfound awesomeness to the cashier, I was surprised when she rang up my jeans and read the actual name of the design. My jeans were appropriately named The Kendall! Not even lying! I was so stoked! You know you have arrived when The Gap names a pair of pants after you. Ya'll know where to go to get my autograph.

Kehoe's and Memorial Day

So for all who don't know...I'M COMING HOME!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooo excited to go back to Utah to be with my friends and family! I've had a great time in California, but the coaching job I have had here is just that...a job. I'm to the point in my life that I would like a career and coaching just isn't going to give that to me. So I'm coming home to finish my Master's in Secondary Ed and be a teacher. I'm really excited for the future and what the great state of Utah has in store for me. I sold my apartment contract (thanks to my family for fasting! It works!) and am currently living with a really awesome older couple from my singles ward. The Kehoe's are seriously an answer to prayer and have been so generous to me while I'm finishing out the season with TMEC. I love them!
Yesterday was Memorial Day and I had the opportunity to watch a show with the Kehoe's called "The Medal", a documentary about the Medal of Honor. It was amazing to hear the stories about the courageous men and women who have gone above and beyond to protect our Freedom. I'm so proud to be an American and for the freedoms we enjoy here. I spent the day with my ward family by playing softball and then hitting up a pretty rockin' BBQ at a member's house. He has a swimming pool, so you KNOW where I was pretty much the whole time I was there! It was a great day and I'm soooooo glad I didn't have to work!

Car's Graduation

My little sister, Carly is all graduicatified!!! I couldn't be more proud! She is such a beautiful, talented, and driven woman with the whole world at her feet. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education on Friday, April 24th. She looked amazing and I'm so glad I was able to fly out to Utah and see her walk. Congrats, lady! I love you!!!

Duuuuuuuuuude!

So, like, I totally went to Disneyland last Saturday with mi Madre, ya know and we totally went and saw a show at like California Adventure which was entitled something like Interactive Crush Time er somethin' and I totally got to talk to my buddy, Crush. Ya know the totally tubular Sea Turtle from the totally-rockin movie, Finding Nemo? 'Cha. So, like the show was totally bomb and it, like totally made me realize that I talk like a surfer and/or like Valley girl, like ALL the time! Dude, it was so gnar. Anyways...I like spent the rest of the weekend totally wishin' I was whalin' all over the ocean catchin' some sweet waves instead of stuck in bogus Temecula, which is LAME and totally inland, so I was like, crap, what can I do about this sitch? And then I was like, DUDE, you live like 40 minutes away from the Pacific, babe. Get in your vehicle and DRIVE out there, duh. So, ya know. I didn't, but I had a totally wicked time enjoying the idea that I could be there in such a short time, but I decided it would be fairly righteous to spend Sunday at church, ya know? So, I went and fetchin' loved it! So awesome, Dude. I love California. It's, like, made me totally smarter and more "in-tune" with my inner dudette. Peace, love, and happiness, dude. It's all good.
